Analysis and Power Quality Improvement in Hybrid Distributed Generation System with Utilization of Unified Power Quality Conditioner

This paper presents a comprehensive study that includes the sizing and power flow by series parallel inverters in distributed generation system (DGs) integrates of hybrid wind photovoltaic with unified quality conditioner (UPQC). In addition to supplying active utility grid, functions as UPQC, compensating reactive suppressing harmonic load currents. Additionally, is supplied harmonic-free, balanced regulated output voltages. Since PVWind-UPQC established on dual compensation scheme, inverter works like sinusoidal current source, while voltage source. Consequently, smooth alteration from interconnected operating modes island vice versa can be achieved without transients. PV-Wind-UPQC handle energy generated through demanded load, converters should sized cautiously. A detailed via imperative gain complete understanding operation proper design converters. Thus, curves allow according are presented discussed. Simulation results assess both steady state dynamic performances grid connected PV-Wind-UPQC. investigation verified simulating analyzing Matlab/Simulink.
